Jackson Browne [ ] has become known virtually as practically for his political activism as for his songs. Considering his left-leaning bent has been common noesis since he became active in the "No Nukes" movement following 1979 Three Mile Island nuclear stroke, it's not surprising that the singer hit the roof when the Ohio Republican Party used his signature hit, "Running on Empty," in an tone-beginning ad against Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

As LiveDaily previously reported, Browne has filed suit against the John McCain campaign and the Republican party for copyright violation and implicit false endorsement. Lawrence Iser of the Santa Monica, California constabulary firm Kinsella Weitzman Iser Kump & Aldisert aforesaid in a statement, "In light of Jackson's womb-to-tomb commitment to Democratic ideals and political candidates, the misappropriation of Jackson Browne's endorsement is entirely criminal, and I have no doubt that a panel will agree."
